Introduction of flange nut

2022-07-23
A flange nut is a nut with a very wide flange at one end, which usually acts as an already integrated washer. Its function is to distribute the pressure of the nut on the part that is fixed, or to reduce the chance of damage to the part, so that it is not easy to loosen because of uneven fastening surface. Flange nuts are those that usually appear in a hexagonal geometry and are also made of hardened steel and zinc coating.
The flange can be seen to be serrated to provide any form of locking action. Note the serrated flange nuts, then it must be said that the serrations are particularly angular, they keep the nut away from the direction of rotation. These serrations should not be used with gaskets or on any such surface without being scratched. Serrated teeth are responsible for helping prevent the vibration of the nut from making the fastener move. This is responsible for maintaining the actual holding force of any type of nut.
Flange nuts are equipped with rotating flanges that provide additional stability to the structure without compromising the finish of the product, similar to serrated flange nuts. Rotary flange nuts are most commonly used for joining material applications such as wood and plastics.
